17 Ways to organize your model horse collection, best order to display your model horses, Schleich, Breyer, CollectA, custom horses, etc.

Hello! For this week I’ve prepared a list of 17 ways you can set up your model horse collection. When we display our horses sometimes we just can’t decide what order to place them in so everything keeps organized. Let’s get into it!
Scale When we have multiple kinds of models it’s useful to sort them by scale (size: see the link below for my post where we dive deep into model horse scales)
Interest This is how I usually do it; I display the models I’m most interested in, most proud of (in the case of customs), or which I admire most at the moment.
Breed Sort horses by breed.
Discipline Sort by the equestrian discipline they suit.
Show horse/ not If the model has participated in model horse shows or not.
Coat color Example: bay, gray, liver chestnut, dun.
Date / baught / year releassed
Newest horse in the collection - oldest horse
Pattern/ markings
Pose You can even sort your model by pose when placing all standing models in a row and all walking models in a row, or by head position.
Conga When you have at leas three models on the same mold but in different colors.
Mold
Plaits Does your model have braids or plaited manes?
Tack Some model horses have fixed tack so consider placing all of them in a row.
Retired/ New model Many people sort their collection like this!
Date a custom was made (If you collect customs)
Shod/ not If your model horse wears shoes or not.
I hope this list was helpfull and maybe inspired you to try a new sort order for your models!
