Karpatia Horse Show 2025, 10 year anniversary,photography trip dressage competition day

Hi everyone! This post has been so awaited! But at last, here we are. I've been sick last week so the post is a little late, I do apologize.

On the 26th I attended Karpatia Horse Show for the dressage classes as part of their 10 year anniversary event which spanned across the days from the 26th to the 28th of October. I've been going to the show for many years and it's always beautiful! This year I went on the Friday, dressage day, and also the first day of competition to photograph the show, which was held in the afternoon. Despite the weather being quite chilly and the horses full of spice, everyone did a wonderful show and I found their presentation gorgeous! A lot of the horses had braided tails, lovely plaits, and some even more fancy braided manes. This entire lot was shot on manual with my larger camera lense and I think they turned out super nicely!

Starting off strong with these! The horse and rider seemed like a great pair and I love the detail shot on the left.

I like how clear the horse's coat is and his shoes just scraping the ground.

These two are also very clear and look precise.

This pair did a wonderful test, not gonna lie probably my favorite horse rider combination! The rider was very clear and soft when giving her cues and the horse responded super well. A gracefully flowing show. The mare did get a little spooky near the crowd at one point (not to blame her: there was a group of people in neon bright orange and pink waving their hands and shaking bags and cups) but they collected immediately after and continued like nothing happened.

The braids! 😍 These two pairs both had grate shows too!

And to end it off, I saw this beautiful blanket Appaloosa pony having a practice round 💕
