I Did not Expect This! Photography Trip, Gardens, Artistic Photography
Hello!
Today’s photoshoot takes place close to the mountains in the stunning gardens and surroundings I got to visit during my latest trip. Although the general area is the same as a previous photoshoot, these locations surprised me! I did not expect to take a lot of pictures here and even though on the day the pictures looked nice and I was pleased, I was shocked when I sat down at my computer and went through the shots properly! This trip has been completely different than what I had expected. I once again traveled there for a wedding (What are the odds? Two weddings in the same spot?), yet ended up exploring intricate gardens and a vast arboretum (Specialized botanical garden in trees). I had planned to edit just a few pictures and leave out the higher edits due to lack of time, but I loved these pictures so much I had to make time for all of them!
My photography goal for this trip was to capture more people and deliberately catch those perfect moments whilst working in a large crowd with only seconds to take a shot. I think I’ve reached that with these pictures, so let’s go through them!
My favorite trio!
For this particular shoot I’m happy that I could capture that diffuse lighting look even though the weather was either full sun or gloomy clouds. For this building I actually asked if we could stop the car, so we parked and I got out to take the pictures standing in the middle of the sidewalk next to the driveway looking like a crazy person while kneeling on the concrete to get these angles. And the sun just makes it look like the tree is magical!
“Some photos will only ever be in our mind.” My photography teacher told me when I asked how I could take every picture I want to take. And it is true that we can’t always stop the car to take pictures of the mountains from the highway or pause by someone’s yard and ask if only they could pick up that water bucket again so we can take a picture. However the most important images we can’t photograph somehow stay in our mind and they always have a way of coming back.
