Companion Plants! A list of plants that thrive planted together!
January 30, 2025
Spring is approaching, and I love to get the yard ready and prepare our "garden game plan". This means we will be seed starting soon and we have to plan our space effectively. By using companion plants you can make sure your plants aren't being held back by a pesky neighbor. I did some research and put together this list of pairs that thrive together, so you can make your life easier and plant your garden successfully.
Tomatoes and basil
Garlic and Potatoes
Garlic and lettuce
Parsley and tomatoes
Sage and cabbage
Sunflowers and cucumbers
Sunflowers and pole beans
Asparagus and calendula
Peppers and basil
Beans and squash
Beats and lettuce
Broccoli and oregano
Carrots and chives
Carrots and radishes
Corn and sunflowers
Cucumbers and dill
Lettuce and zinnias
Onions and strawberries
Peas and mint
Potatoes and catmint
Pumpkins and marigolds
All these plants benefit each other when planted as neighbors. I can't wait for spring so I can start all the seeds! I hope this list helped you plan for the growing season to come.
