Simple Snow Shots, Model Horse Photoshoot in the snow, Schleich horse pictures

Hi there!

We got another round of snow here, just as I was about to declare the beginning of spring. And as a photographer, I can’t stay away from a fluffy backdrop for my model horses! Particularly, the snow was fluffy yet dense and was the perfect consistency to hold the weight of my model horses. Snow like this is rare as the horses hooves tend to sink in normal snow, but it wasn’t the case and I’m really glad I caught the sunset while taking pictures of my models! This was a short, simple, sweet, and fun shoot so let’s get into the pictures!

As you can see, the thumbnail of this post is a lovely portrait of my Schleich pony. I love the rose bushes in the background and the sun shining on his face!

Isolated horse, snow pictures go more towards model horse showing photos but they are still wonderful artistic shots! I also caught a glimpse of the sun rays in some of the pictures.

This is Mars and he is one of my Schleich horses I don’t find as realistic. His coat is shiny and his pose is difficult to capture in a natural way. After struggling with him for a while I settled on these two poses. Such a tricky horse but great practice!

More pictures of Ice Bolt alone, and also with a rose bud.

And to end off I did a little group scene with the horses. Photographing herds is not something I usually do, but I thought these three looked nice together!

Thank you for reading! As always, I hope you enjoyed seeing my snowy photoshoot!
