Touring my Model Horse Studio! 5 Important Aspects of my Setup!

Hello everyone! Today I’ll be giving you a mini tour of my model horse studio setup while sharing five important features!

  1. The drying cabinet. This is where all the model horses dry in between and after sealant. It’s main function is to offer a dust proof area where multiple models can be stored simultaneously.

2.The paintbrush selection. I have sorted my paintbrushes according to size and function. One jar is for model horses and details only, the second is for coats, markings, and other miniatures. Jars three and four are my paintbrushes for canvas oil paintings and my recovery box of brushes, for all those old paintbrushes I have kept over the years and a couple large ones.

3. Various other shelves house all the ponies and horses waiting to be customized. They are spread around so I know exactly which models are first, and which ones should wait for their turn before I can start working on them.

4.And lastly, I have three ceramic pots on my windowsill. The yellow one has painting water for when I’m painting model horses, the pink one has water for other painting projects, and the green one has water for sculpting. I adore these pots because of their wide mouth opening! It means I don’t have to fiddle around, searching for the hole when trying to rinse my brushes. I can just dip it straight it and I’m good to go.

5. I also have a small box stuffed with felt, that sits on my desk and houses upside down models that have just been glossed and need to be in a place where their hooves and eyes are not touching any surfaces.

I hope you enjoyed this mini studio tour and don’t forget to visit my YouTube channel for more video content! https://www.youtube.com/@naturefoxes_IrinaS

Hay Swinging Forage Treat for Model Horses Miniature Accessorie

These miniature hay forage swinging treats are the perfect boredom busters for the model horses in your stable! They are designed to resemble the real treats offered to horses, so they have a 3D, durable hay texture. The treats come in a pack of three and are roughly 1.5 centimeters in diameter (around 0.59 inches). Each one comes with a string for attaching to a diorama stable or hanging on another surface. They have been colored using acrylics and then sealed for a durable finish. The texture is slightly rough in order to create the effect of hay, thus it should be handled with care. Each one is hand made by me to fit the scale of Schleich model horses, 1:20/1:24 scale. Slight variations may occur from treat to treat, as each one is unique! Refer to pictures!
